A Sheffield company’s promotion of a multi-million pound venture capital and loan fund has won Gold at the 2010 Yorkshire and Lincolnshire PRide Awards.

HR Media received the accolade in the Corporate and Business Communications category for publicising the launch of Finance Yorkshire, which provides access to investment in businesses based in or relocating to Yorkshire, the Humber and North and North East Lincolnshire.

Organised by the Chartered Institute for Public Relations (CIPR) the PRide Awards recognise public relations success and achievement.

HR Media worked with Finance Yorkshire to develop an integrated campaign which included media relations and digital communications to highlight a series of launch events across the region, raising the profile of the £90million Fund to the business community, financial intermediaries and media.

Martin Ross, managing director of HR Media, said: “To win gold for the whole of Yorkshire and Lincolnshire is a remarkable success by the team at HR Media.

“It is a fantastic achievement to see our work with Finance Yorkshire recognised in such a professional environment and witnessed by our peers.

“We showed we are a force to be reckoned with. The award sends out a very positive message to the professional services sector across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire that we can perform an important role in the development of any business.”

Carol Arthur, chair of CIPR Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, added: “The CIPR PRide Awards recognise and reward the thriving PR profession from across the UK. They help to celebrate the importance of demonstrating the value of what we, as public relations professionals, do and the positive impact this profession has on all aspects of business.

“Being named as a CIPR PRide Award winner is a fantastic achievement and I congratulate all of this year’s winners.”
